Over our heads (Tiangong 1)

imageedit__2178948987

Dear WordPress readers,
this looks so much better on my site

……………………….another
potent political symbol
shifts over our heads.
the message abandoned
the magnetic storm.

there’s an extremely low
chance that any
will reach
us.

after all,
the ground’s mostly ocean
mostly            unpopulated
small towns, woods and fields.

but keep an eye for the off chance
heaven comes in
over your head.

all the colours that you’ll see
as you turn in the morning’s bright.

it won’t hurt, it will be
like a feather,
…………………………………………..or a leaf floating off
spectacular.

Follow its final hours here. Check out Studio Réal‘s post on the same subject. And here’s Gill Scott-Herron making a related point.

  1. Oh my goodness, I looked this up and saw a photo of some astronauts in the module….hopefully they are not on the one up in the air! Saw somewhere else that NASA suspects it doesnt have a flight plan for re-entry. Ack. Anyway, a very thought provoking response to the prompt…………yikes.
