Shorely – my first chapbook

Later this month, the wonderful Ginninderra Press are publishing my first chapbook ‘Shorely’ as part of their Pocket Poets series.

‘Shorely’ has 24 pages of my favourite poems from the last year or so brought together in one volume including this one.

In the next few days, I’ll publish a copy here for you to download for free but if you want the real deal, visit Ginninderra’s website and pick up some terrific Australian poetry.

  1. Exciting news, Peter. Congrats!
I love the title. Reminded me of when I was a very young public servant – whenever I questioned a colleague’s dubious assertion with ‘But surely…?’ he would joke, ‘Don’t call me Shirley!’
I read recently LEGO (look at that, auto capitalisation) is a version of the Danish for ‘play well’ – but maybe that’s what the corporation would have us believe. Regardless, best wishes for your first chapbook (glad to see that wonderful word revived).
